#blogstuff: Fall Florals
Back to school, back to no summer Fridays. Whatever you're getting back to this Fall, go back in florals!
Now that I've graduated college and I'm on to "adulting", this past year of working has proven that it's important to me to buy clothes that are versatile. I need a wardrobe that is appropriate enough for the office and fashionable for happy hour.. without having to change outfits. Although it hurts my wallet a little more, buying higher quality clothing has certainly shown to last longer, look more sophisticated and has been more comfortable. Sadly, I'm admitting that my crop top days are coming to an end.
And even though it'll cost more than 2 for $32 basic tees, it does NOT have to break your bank! Shop the sales! Sign up for the emails, even though they're annoying sometimes. I'm signed up for my favorites like Free People, LuLu's and Lolli Swim that way I know when my favorite stuff will be on sale!
This Free People dress is perfect for any situation! I was hesitant about snagging it but I'm glad I did! The fabric is super light and airy, which is perfect for summer - for reference I wore this in Texas in August.... we're talking 100+ degrees. But it can also be bundled up, worn with knit tights, over jeans, with a chunky sweater. I'm so excited to wear dresses and tunics like this all through fall.
When I think of Fall, I think of the leaves falling and pumpkin spice everything. I'm carrying this dress into fall because of it's burnt yellow color. It reminds me so much of the leaves changing! Florals can be a challenge to wear in Fall, but I think we'll be seeing a lot more of it this year in terms of subtle, neutral colored flowers similar to the ones on this dress! I paired this look with chunky, mixed material Rebecca Minkoff booties to show how I'd wear this outfit out after work!
